Print-Rite’s Water-Based Pigment Ink
Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)
Q1: What is the difference between water-based dye ink and water-based pigment ink?
A: Dye ink dissolves in water like sugar, offering bright colors but very poor water and UV resistance. Pigment ink uses solid, microscopic color particles suspended in water. These particles bond tightly to the substrate, providing vastly superior water resistance, scratch resistance, and light fastness compared to dye inks.
Q2: Does Print-Rite pigment ink require specific storage conditions?
A: To maintain optimal viscosity and stability, we recommend storing the ink in a cool, dry environment between 15°C and 30°C, away from direct sunlight. The standard shelf life of our sealed water-based pigment ink is 12 months.
Q3: Can I use this ink for direct-to-garment (DTG) printing?
A: Yes, our water-based pigment ink is perfectly optimized for both Direct-to-Garment (DTG) and Direct-to-Film (DTF) printing processes, ensuring rich color layers and high durability on fabrics.
